The first episode of SpongeBob Square pants was May 1st 1999 called 'help wanted' and was nominated for Kids Choice awards. In 2000 the animation of spongeBob was updated, aswell as in 2002,2005 and the present day

About SpongeBoB

SpongeBob is estimated to be around 20 years old, He works at a diner called 'The Krusty Krab' which is owned by his good friend Mr Krabs. Spongebob lives in a pineapple next to his bestfriend Patrick star and co-worker Squidward. He lives with his pet snail Gary who he adores and talks about him in almost every episode.

SpongeBob's original Character

Before the show was released spongeBob's character and personality were changed countless times. For instance his original name was supposed to be 'Spongeboy' Spongeboy was designed to be a childlike character who was goofy and optimistic. SpongeBob is well know fo his TV show called 'SpongeBob Square Pants' but before that name was decided the show was originally meant to be called "SpongeBoy Ahoy!'

SpongeBob's fear

SpongeBob can become scared easily and usually panics when frightened. He is afraid of the dark and clowns. He also hates hot sauce. Occasionally, SpongeBob is too ignorant to notice impending danger and his unworldly thinking may put himself or others in peril.

SpongeBob's Friends

SpongeBob is a very caring character and loves to make friends but a few of his close friends are Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, Gary, Squidward and Mr Krabs
